Folding The Prism

Folding the Prism is a mural by Jessie Unterhalter and Katey Truhn, at the intersection of Ridge Avenue and Spring Garden Street, that responds to the neighborhood’s rich textile history of the early 20th century.

This six story mural was painted in collaboration with Mural Arts Philadelphia’s Restorative Justice program. This paid apprenticeship program provides formerly incarcerated individuals job training and mentorship to restore and transform individual lives and communities, helping to break the cycle of recidivism through public art.
