Inside Out // Dreamers
Its truly an incredible thing when art shines a light on our commonality.
Inside Out/ Dreamers installation at 18th and Sansom is a fantastic example of how a public art project can bring people together and show strength and beauty in our diversity. In 2017, the Trump administration rescinded DACA. In response, french artist, JR and his Inside Out team traveled the United States making a portrait of America that includes immigrants and the descendants of immigrants alike. This traveling public art project stopped in Philadelphia in December before their final stop in Washington DC and I had the pleasure of being a part of it.
On this project I worked with Inside Out and Emerson Collective to produce and install this temporary mural in Center City Philadelphia with Project Partners Mural Arts and Allan Domb Real Estate.
